The White Swan has stood on the village green since the 1600’s and is in the final stages of a complete refurbishment. Being closed since 2018, the community was disheartened to learn that their local pub would be closing.

In early 2021, the community came together to get The White Swan reopened, involving the whole village. They have worked together to purchase, rebuild and bring The White Swan back to life. Reopening in May 2022, we want to bring you the best. Our drinks poured with perfection, our menu made unique, seasonal and made with passion. Everything sourced locally. We’re proud to serve you local goodness.

Dog Rules: Dogs only in bar area and beer garden, please leave note when booking that you require a dog friendly table!

Had a lovely family meal Saturday lunchtime, 3 children 4 adults. Big portions, good quality food and came in good time. Children loved their meals and prices were reasonable. Nice children's playground and huge green across the road, very close to Gressenhall workhouse which we were spending the day at but needed a hot meal to fit in with plans. Would definitely go again!

Family invited us over to this lovely community pub- and we were all impressed! Quaint characterful - yet modern, it was sympathetically renovated . The White Swan's been in Gressenhall for over 500 years but in 2019 to save its future as the last remaining pub in the village it was purchased by the community. Over 6000 hours of volunteer work has created a beautiful village pub. Food is fresh and local. We had a buffet of mini fish, chicken and bowls of chips: was very nice, not greasy, was hot, moist, crispy and tasty. Generous portions. Bowls olives and cheese yum! I've been informed there was a good range of beers, many regional. Orchard Pig cider on tap (not local!) was pleasantly bubbly- medium dry/sweet, 4.3% Suitable for vegans and gluten free. Lovely community pub supporting local community with friendly staff. Fab place we'd go again.

At last we've found a pub that's open on a Monday for drink and even better, for food! We saw some whale and chips being delivered to tables around us but had the breads in oil starter-incredible.. Then the pork and venison sausage main with colcannon mash potatoes and greens- simply the best sausage and mash ever. We were stuffed by this point but couldn't leave without trying the cheese and biscuits, which was plenty for 2. Lovely lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff too! Top marks for a Monday guys for keeping a lovely dark ale too! Perrrrrrfect

Came across this pub by chance when exploring the local area. Lots of dog water bowls around, and I was welcomed into the bar. My hoomans had an amazing lunch, and the pork belly bites they let me try were delicious! I’d recommend this pub to anyone or any dog, it was pawsome!
