The Wallow – Norwich

It was our first time here and also my wife's birthday. We received unexpected complimentary Champagne on arrival and were guided through the process of self service and the wines by a very knowledgeable member of staff. Service was good but not intrusive. All in all a really good experience and a proper birthday treat. Highly recommended.

Super relaxed atmosphere and good fun using the self serve machines to try out a small taste of a variety of wines before indulge in a favourite. We're not even close to being wine connoisseurs, but there's no feeling of snobbery or needing to know lots, just an opportunity to enjoy fine wine. The share boards are plenty for two and the food quality is great. A place where you can forget about the world and enjoy a taste of luxury.

A nice experience overall, but the wines are extremely overpriced, often paying £10+ per 175ml glass from a bottle which costs around £13-£15 off the shelf. Place appeared to be fully booked so I guess their business model is working! Dog friendly.

Fun way to start an evening out - large wine selection and the food was generous and delicious. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and level headed on a very busy night!

This was the best evening out I've had in a long time. The service and vibe was amazing and our waiter (Frank) was superb - he was so knowledgeable about the wine and made great recommendations. The sharing platter was delicious and more than filling enough. Can't rate the place highly enough.
