The Victoria at Holkham

Would highly recommend if you need an indulgent few days or need a location for a special anniversary or occasion. All the staff could not be more polite or helpful. Rooms are immaculately presented throughout with some nice complementary items on arrival. Great selection of options for breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend booking for the restaurant as it can be very busy. Evening meal: Great atmosphere/dining experience with the right time between courses to talk and enjoy the wine, all courses cooked to perfection with great flavours and taste. Dog friendly. Made use of the extras provided when staying: discount for the hall and free parking at multiple locations in the area. Overall a great experience for our 25 wedding anniversary and will definitely be staying again.

I took my mother for lunch at The Victoria after a lovely walk around the grounds of Holkham Hall (which I’d highly recommend). From the moment we walked in to book a table right through to the time we left I could not praise the friendliness of all the staff highly enough. The young lady that booked us our table was extremely warm & welcoming. Then the young man who welcomed us into the restaurant was extremely friendly too. He also had time for my pet dog and was quick to offer her a snack. When we sat at our table the staff were extremely attentive, very polite and it made our lunchtime experience a really pleasant one. On top of that the food was delicious, (the Cottage pie was perfect !) the house red was spot on and I would certainly recommend The Victoria to anyone looking for good food, a warm welcome and friendly staff. I’ll certainly be revisiting and I shall be bringing along several friends. Thank you !

Fantastic - service, food, room, location - all amazing and can’t recommend highly enough. We stayed in the Scarborough room overlooking stunning views. The room was incredibly comfortable. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and were blown away by the meals - locally sourced, fresh, stunning ingredients and tastes. The location is a five minute walk from the award winning Holkham beach and also a short walk from Holkham estate - a dreamy location. All in all - 10/10

We used to call in for a drink after walking in the area. No more! We were amazed to be curtly turned away as we weren't residents despite the bar being empty! We will not be going back, shame as we used to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Would give zero stars if allowed!

How to not have a 1 start experience- book lunch on their website. That’s it. They let you in, choose where you want to eat, menu is brilliant, food is top quality, staff very friendly, it’s a proper 5 star quality experience. At the same time I saw very well meaning and friendly people turned away who just turned up, so just book. Booked literally 3 hours before we turned up
