The Three Horseshoes is a luxury country pub tucked away just outside of Holt. We’re the perfect destination for a day out with your four legged friend. Our kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there’s a beautiful 2.5 mile dog walk across footpaths and farm tracks that starts minutes from our front door.
Our Head Chef, Jake Garwood, appeared on the BBC series The Hairy Bikers Go Local and impressed hosts Dave Myers and Si King by using Norfolk produce to conjure up a char siu lamb with hedgerow ketchup along with a scone topped with fresh fruit and micro basil.
Jake has created a new menu at The Three Horseshoes with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The menu, which will change regularly, blends British pub classics like Ale-battered fish and chips with fine dining dishes such as pan-seared pigeon.

2 months agoWe had an absolutely wonderful meal with friends here. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu choices were excellent - I struggled to make up my mind! And the food itself was absolutely delicious!! Loved it and hope to go back when we are next in the area ❤️ Also, who did that beautiful painting of the hare??! Just gorgeous!! :)

3 months agoABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!! A one night stay on 3 day bed and breakfast crawl in Norfolk. Staff were exceptional in every way. Greeting on arrival to the rooms and the amazing evening meal and breakfast. Full English was spot on, quality of ingredients, fresh and hot. Pancakes with a fruit selection and honey, and or syrup. As always in hospitality staffing is an issue but you would never know with the service, not just us but everyone got. Front of house staff were attentive and helpful but not to excess. Shame could only give 5 stars.

4 months agoWe had Sunday lunch and it was delicious. The atmosphere is very nice. A light, airy room with pleasant decor. I liked the menu but the word ‘proper’ describing the gravy rather grated with me until I spoke to my friend about it who is Norfolk through and through and she told me it was the perfect word!!! I wouldn’t want improper gravy! I had to ask for more…it was, well, proper!!! It all was. Thank you to all the staff and chef.

3 weeks agoNice country pub with accommodation well suited to a short stay. Excellent food and some good local beers. Staff friendly and helpful. The beer garden is a superb addition to this hostelry. Would recommend .
