The Three Horseshoes is a luxury country pub tucked away just outside of Holt. We’re the perfect destination for a day out with your four legged friend. Our kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there’s a beautiful 2.5 mile dog walk across footpaths and farm tracks that starts minutes from our front door.

Our Head Chef, Jake Garwood, appeared on the BBC series The Hairy Bikers Go Local and impressed hosts Dave Myers and Si King by using Norfolk produce to conjure up a char siu lamb with hedgerow ketchup along with a scone topped with fresh fruit and micro basil.

Jake has created a new menu at The Three Horseshoes with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The menu, which will change regularly, blends British pub classics like Ale-battered fish and chips with fine dining dishes such as pan-seared pigeon.

We walked here from a local holiday cottage. We were greeted with welcome arms, the dogs were absolutely spoiled rotten, and the roast dinners were the best we have ever eaten out. The staff were wonderful, they couldn't do enough for us. This pub comes highly recommended, it's a total gem. We'd like to return!!!

There’s no doubt the new chef is promising and we had some interesting and fantastic flavour combinations. Delicious food - for that we would return. It’s a real shame as there’s lots of potential in this restaurant/pub - but the bright lighting really steal the atmosphere, and made it feel quite “cold”. The service is friendly, but sadly lacking - not asked for drinks until we’d been sat down for a while. It’s nice to have a drink while you look at the menu. On the night we went the pub was been virtually empty - I think 6 other people including our party of three - yet at least 3 times we had to wait while our waitress was chatting to others, (not customers) there was a general feeling that we were an after thought. On the whole I would choose other places nearby for the same price.

We took our friends for the Sunday roast today and they said it’s one of the best roast dinners they have had in Norfolk as they visit often. Thanks to the great service especially from Kerry & Gerrie. From the Webbs and The Manning’s. Will definitely be back

This was one of those rare experiences where EVERYTHING was excellent from start to finish for our table of three on Tuesday lunch for a Christmas work meal. We were greeted and shown to our table by the lovely Corey, and were then looked after by the equally lovely Alistair. The service and the food were impeccable, all three of us had the same starter and main. The Christmas sandwich special was stunning, well thought-out, nicely presented and so tasty, especially the sprout slaw!! We loved everything and would highly recommend eating here, you will not be disappointed!

Staff were super friendly. Starters were good but not exceptional. Had to request more bread with pate. Bread was v hard though. Prawns were lovely. No gluten free bread so I could not have pate as starter. Meals arrived. THINNEST pies I had ever seen. Probably 1 1/2 cm thick. Tasty and meat filled but too much pastry for meat ratio, not enough vegetables. Pasta dish had no sauce! Weird. My steak was rare when I had requested medium, but staff quickly rectified it. Desserts were mediocre choice so only two of us had desserts. Bread and butter pudding was lovely. All in all an OK visit but won’t rush back.
