The Three Horseshoes is a luxury country pub tucked away just outside of Holt. We’re the perfect destination for a day out with your four legged friend. Our kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there’s a beautiful 2.5 mile dog walk across footpaths and farm tracks that starts minutes from our front door.

Our Head Chef, Jake Garwood, appeared on the BBC series The Hairy Bikers Go Local and impressed hosts Dave Myers and Si King by using Norfolk produce to conjure up a char siu lamb with hedgerow ketchup along with a scone topped with fresh fruit and micro basil.

Jake has created a new menu at The Three Horseshoes with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The menu, which will change regularly, blends British pub classics like Ale-battered fish and chips with fine dining dishes such as pan-seared pigeon.

We had a fabulous meal on Friday evening. Staff welcoming, food excellent and very good value. Beautifully presented, well done Chef. I would agree with another review that the lighting could be toned down a bit in the dining area, but a small negative. Well done The Three Horseshoes is a lovely pub and deserves to do well. We will be back.

There’s no doubt the new chef is promising and we had some interesting and fantastic flavour combinations. Delicious food - for that we would return. It’s a real shame as there’s lots of potential in this restaurant/pub - but the bright lighting really steal the atmosphere, and made it feel quite “cold”. The service is friendly, but sadly lacking - not asked for drinks until we’d been sat down for a while. It’s nice to have a drink while you look at the menu. On the night we went the pub was been virtually empty - I think 6 other people including our party of three - yet at least 3 times we had to wait while our waitress was chatting to others, (not customers) there was a general feeling that we were an after thought. On the whole I would choose other places nearby for the same price.

Had a lovely last minute stay at the Three Horseshoes. Beautiful room & garden and a fantastic evening meal & breakfast. Not far from the coast or Norwich. Highly recommend!

Stopped for a meal on Monday night. Beef hotpot was dry, overcooked and a measly portion. The waitress said she would tell the kitchen. We were still fully charged for everything. Disappointing. Other dishes were ok but nothing special.

We walked here from a local holiday cottage. We were greeted with welcome arms, the dogs were absolutely spoiled rotten, and the roast dinners were the best we have ever eaten out. The staff were wonderful, they couldn't do enough for us. This pub comes highly recommended, it's a total gem. We'd like to return!!!
