There is a wonderful scene in the movie ‘Falling Down’ where Michael Douglas complains that the burger you buy looks nothing like the ones on the menu. That’s not the case at the Ten Bells where the burgers are packed with ingredients and flavour. I’m not a huge burger fan but these are exceptional.

Very busy with Christmas drinkers so maybe they should have stopped serving food. Our burgers were awful with burned bacon and hard as a rock chicken. Also got half the order wrong. Very disappointed for the price we paid. We were on our way to a gig so didn't have time to make a complaint at the time. Shame as it's in a good location which I visit often.

Really nice pub, but can get really busy, resulting in quite a wait for drinks, especially if the bar staff are making cocktails. We ordered some loaded fries but really disappointed when they arrived. Soft fries, not crispy like the menu said, only 4 small pieces of chicken and hardly any bacon bits. In my opinion, they were not worth the money we paid.

Food was decent if a little on the pricy side. Burgers come with a free drink - three of our party were offered this at time of ordering, two weren’t. When we (the two) brought this up to a server we were told that this needs to go through at the same time as the food so there was nothing that could be done. Pretty poor show and an obvious lack of training. No doubt two drinks could have been put through after the fact, but the manager had obviously decided that consistency wasn’t worth worrying about. On principal, won’t revisit.

Popped in for hot drinks at midday. Friendly staff and dog friendly which was great as we had a hound with us. Nice coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of nice teas.
