4 months agoMy wife and I ate dinner here twice in three days while staying locally. It was amazing to be able to walk to a pub and enjoy good food. All the staff were absolutely lovely, one of the friendliest pubs I've been to in ages. Service was also efficient and helpful. Portions were very generous, reminding me of country pubs further north! I would have been happy with smaller portions and a bit more attention to presentation. The chips (gorgeous) with my homemade burger could have fed three people. The seafood chowder was the best dish we had, and again generous portions, we were glad that we asked to share one between us. The wine list was limited, but not unusual for pubs. We sat in the dog-free section on the first evening, and with the dogs on the second, having forgotten that it was a segregated pub. Our fault for not checking. The pub is right on the main coast road, but not at all noisy while we were there. Would definitely return.

6 months agoWe had a fabulous stay at The Ship earlier this week. The room was a good size and immaculate, with great attention to detail. The food and drink were equally impressive, delicious, a wide choice, and generous portions. The full English was one of the best I've ever had. The staff were very welcoming, making us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and giving us lots of helpful information about the local area. We will definitely be returning again in the near future.

3 months agoBooked for xmas meal here last Saturday purely because it was in walking distance of the barn we had rented for the weekend with friends. But what an amazing gem of a find! Food tasty, and very generous portions, brilliant value for money and the staff outstanding in their friendliness. As for the cocktails - delicious ! Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in the area

3 months agoGreat pub. Lovely welcome from the team and dog friendly. The battered cod in a bap was excellent. We didn't need the extra chips but hey ho! Found this place on a walk from Sheringham park. Highly recommend.
