Lovely place to visit, great setting. I decided to try the restaurant, which was lovely and good for gluten free. One small point, one lady was training a new member of staff, who was lovely. As she was new, she made a mistake and called a table away too soon, as they asked for more bread for the starter. The more experienced lady told her this in the restaurant, right by my table. There are ways of training new staff, that and telling most tables this is what she was doing, is not it! However, it didn't spoil a very nice meal in a lovely setting.

Can't comment on the rooms as I wasn't staying there. However, the bar/restaurant areas are outstanding. Brilliant choice of beers, both local and from further afield. Had the fresh crab sandwich for lunch, highly recommended. Would love to come back and try even more food! The staff are also extremely welcoming. Great place 👍🏻

Can't fault location or service but the food.the rump steak was so good that I couldn't leave any, but the size of it made it a challenge absolutely massive. Staff attentive and a great atmosphere. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Cromer especially if you have a dog the red lion should be top of your list

We only used the bar. They had a good selection of beers and the staff are friendly. The veiw is good as you can see the sea and the pier which is lit up at night. They do food but you need to book a table.

Just the sort of Victorian pub / building you'd expect at the seaside... The food is on the expense side, but is worth it due to the quality and general surroundings. A wide selection of beers, do friendly and some good sea facing seats / windows... Really liked the place.
