Excellent starter, I had the asparagus. Chicken supreme for my main. All done to a tee and very tasty. Roslyn had beef sirloin, vegetables were varied and palatable. Staff were courteous and attentive. Not cheap but you have to pay for quality which this meal was.

Went to a very similar pub in North Norfolk last week. One that is pretty well known and 'pig based' but it was nowhere near as good as this. Always a decent bitter on and the food always feels like a treat.

A lovely old place, with smart decor. We were out on an ale run and weren't at all disappointed in what was on offer, not extensive but what they had was good. Extremely pleasant staff and service.

We were told to sit at a table in the corner by the lady behind the bar and she would be over to take our order! However after sitting there for about 15/20mins we still hadn't been served! She on the other hand spent her time messing with her phone and chatting up the guys at the bar instead of telling the waiter we were there for food. He kept looking over at us wondering why we were sat at one of the tables, but instead of asking us he continued to carry on until the barmaid eventually came from behind the bar, they said something about us, as they were looking in our direction, she realised that we were still waiting because she rushed to get us menus and take our drinks order! The food was pricey for what we got, the hazelnut mille feuille was a disappointment, £9 for a mouthful of dessert. Pastry tasted burnt, hardly any hazelnut taste and only 2 layers.

I was brought to Loddon under a sad Cloud. However booking into the Swan was easy, the room was very impressive for the price. The food and service was 2nd to none. If I was to ever be in Loddon again I would definitely say here again. My only moan is that Loddon is in a mobile phone black spot so getting on the wifi is key if you want to be connected to the outside world. However when logging on to the wifi you need to verify you email address, which is a struggle with phone signal. There might of been an easier way to get online but I didn't find it. Which actually didn't matter as spent most my time in the bar.
