3 months agoThe Swan at Loddon is our ‘go to’ warm and cosy welcome after a long country walk, there are some fantastic walks in and around Loddon, when returning though, be sure to pop in, head to the right of the bar and sit yourself in front of the roaring log fire. Lunch tastes fantastic, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic and there is a great selection of wines and beer. They are also extremely friendly with our young baby boy. As ‘places to dry out and spend the afternoon in great company’ go, the Swan has never let us down.

3 months agoA lovely old place, with smart decor. We were out on an ale run and weren't at all disappointed in what was on offer, not extensive but what they had was good. Extremely pleasant staff and service.

2 months agoHad a fabulous meal here for my grandads birthday. The staff were all fantastic and the food was lovely. As we had a gluten free person dining, they catered to their meal especially and they enjoyed all the same food as us. Highly reccomend and thankyou once again for a special meal.

5 months agoWe were told to sit at a table in the corner by the lady behind the bar and she would be over to take our order! However after sitting there for about 15/20mins we still hadn't been served! She on the other hand spent her time messing with her phone and chatting up the guys at the bar instead of telling the waiter we were there for food. He kept looking over at us wondering why we were sat at one of the tables, but instead of asking us he continued to carry on until the barmaid eventually came from behind the bar, they said something about us, as they were looking in our direction, she realised that we were still waiting because she rushed to get us menus and take our drinks order! The food was pricey for what we got, the hazelnut mille feuille was a disappointment, £9 for a mouthful of dessert. Pastry tasted burnt, hardly any hazelnut taste and only 2 layers.
