Personnel at the hotel is amazing. The set-up is charming. I still struggle to understand how a hotel can call a bedroom a room that overlooks the high street. Even if the village is fairly quiet, there are always odd cars going through the village. To avoid for light sleepers.

I wish to say thank you to all the staff that made my stay so nice. Not the biggest menu in the restaurant, but the food was first class. The staff were brilliant, with a good sense of humour and made you feel at home. I had a room in the old town hall, absolutely palatial. My bathroom, with an enormous shower cubicle and separate bath was bigger than many hotel rooms I've paid similar prices for. The room was huge with a sofa, chair, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, decent biscuits and lovely decor. If you want to stay in the area, you will be hard pushed to find better. Why bother? Just stay here. A fantastic place and a beutiful building. Again, thank you wonderful people for making my stay so nice.

We had an evening meal there on our wedding anniversary. The service was courteous but patchy with attention spans not up to the mark. The food, however, was truly excellent and we left very satisfied with The Swan. We’ll be going there more frequently for more of it.

Last minute decision to have a Sunday Roast, so we hadn't booked. We were made very welcome, the staff were all lovely, and the meal arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Service was great, everyone really kind and friendly. The room had everything one would want (including coffee machine). And the breakfast was freshly cooked and filling. Couldn't have asked for more.
