We've just had the most amazing lunch for my birthday. Everything we had was cooked on the open fire, right in front of our table (steak & the best roasted potatoes and lamb with bubble & squeak), it was absolutely delicious 😋 If you're ever in North Norfolk, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Every single member of staff was lovely and the restaurant & grounds (it's set in a thousand acre deer park) are absolutely beautiful 🦌 We will definitely be coming back 🥰

Enjoyed a birthday dinner with my family. Amazing service. Great food, like really great, the rib of beef cooked over the fire by the head chef Stuart was phenomenal. Great beer and wine selection. Very good with one person in our party who had an array of dietary requirements. Set on beautiful grounds. Highlight of our trip. Will make sure to visit again when back in Norfolk.

Shared lunch of food from the bar (not the lunch menu as we didn't book ahead & it was fully booked). Fantastic flavours. Fine real ales. Enormous beer garden with views across the countryside, including a herd of deer. Quirky interior; lots of original artworks. Highly recommended.

Invited for drinks with a friend who regularly escapes there. Publican area very dog friendly; put up with our reactive pooches. Dogs are best in the fenced garden area as there are free roaming deer in the field. Staff are very amiable and the location is lovely and quiet❣️ No raring for the rooms as did not stay.

We visited for Sunday roast which was delicious but for £24 it was tiny! Only one small piece of beef! We were really surprised. And only two vegetables. No add on side options like cauliflower cheese either. Had an amazing apricot tart but the cheese board was served with cheese straight from the fridge so that was a little disappointing too. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere and lovely grounds.
