A traditional pub in an extensive park near to Cromer. Views for miles from the beer garden which looks out onto the park and it’s common you can see deer from the estate grazing.

4 months agoWow, what a place! We came here completely by chance on a random November weekend and it was fantastic. The location is 10 out 10. The sunset with the deer, the treeline, just majestic. Absolutely breathtaking. The pub itself was also really nice, cozy with lots of fireplaces, friendly staff that know how to make a cocktail. Seemed to be frequented by families as well, so if you come with kids, it's probably quite nice. The food was quite good as well. We went for the lamb and the venison. Unfortunately, no one mentioned the specials, but okay, that happens. The chef who recently started working there was also very kind. Overall, we really liked it. Never seen a place like that in England.

5 months agoAbsolutely fabulous - enough said? I’ll expand…..My big sister brought us here for a treat, and certainly was. Beautiful setting in a deer park, building and decor to match (with ample car parking). Menu so different without being outlandish. Charming servers who really knew their dishes and could advise accordingly. Full marks, will definitely return!

6 months agoWent for Sunday lunch and was not let down. Service, atmosphere and most importantly food were all top drawer. The Sunday roasts were the best I’ve ever had. If the menu says serves 2/3 it will and easily. Some art is a bit out there for me but didn’t detract. Setting is lovely as well.

4 months agoGood food in a lovely environment. The service was excellent. I had the fire cooked 10 oz Surloin steak at £37. It was nice but far from exceptional although expensive. The dressed Crab starter which we shared was excellent. The cheese cake dessert was also very good. Wine by the glass was good and not particularly expensive. I would definitely go back.

6 months agoBeautiful pub in beautiful surroundings. Only gave it 4/5 ⭐simply because we went with the expectations of trying the venison to be told it wasn't on the menu til end of September. Feel this should have been made clear at time of booking. However that been said the meal we did have was lovely and the staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend
