We had a great stay at the Gunton Arms with our 3 dogs. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. The barn we stayed in was lovely warm and cosy and the dogs enjoyed their luxury beds, biscuits, and lavender shampoo. Was a real treat to have a soak in the roll top bath and to enjoy chilling on the comfy sofas reading a book. The food was amazing and we enjoyed watching our food being cooked on the open fire. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and cosy and we enjoyed taking in the art work as well. All the staff were so friendly and very welcoming and the dogs enjoyed being made a fuss of. Thank you for a great stay, we’ll be back again soon :)

We went there for dinner on a sudden trip, Totally an unplanned one. And I was amased. First the location. Tucked a little inside the main road, a secluded area with a lot of greenery all around. We went there after dark so didnot see any deers. But there are some. 2nd the food. Heard it from a friend that I must say, the food is so good. Freshly made, all the plates were still hot. In starter we tried lamb sweet breads, in mains roated duck leg with kale and lentils and chicken and bacon and leek pie. Lastly I am in love of their cheesecake Would visit again to have some more good food.

Having moved to Mundesley three years ago, we have visited the Gunton perhaps six times for meals but not stayed there before. For my partner's birthday, we stayed overnight in a small but charming room. Whilst compact, it had everything you could wish for and was decorated in a delightful original quirky style. The food, as ever, was excellent, as were the courteous, friendly staff. It is self-evident they are happy in their work, once again reflecting positively on the place. I am vegetarian and enjoy the unusual menu, together with the fact that the prices demonstrate that vegetarian food is infinitely cheaper to produce than meat or fish. Something rarely acknowledged or evident in other establishments' prices. Breakfast was included and once again it was of a very high standard. We went for a short walk in the grounds in the morning, enjoying the early snowdrops and the distant deer. Hard to envisage a better birthday treat. Wonderful!

Had an amazing experience here recently. Booked a room a several months ago requested food which wasn't on the menu and they delivered 100%. The steak was the best my wife and I have ever had and the service was top notch too. Very attentive and happy to help. Will definitely return without a doubt.

A special place. The food was incredible, the staff were some of the loveliest we’ve ever come across. I wish I got the name of our waitress (glasses, fringe and really lovely) as she immediately made us feel welcome and at ease. I highly recommend getting there before your booking and enjoying the atmosphere in the bar section, or ask for a leaflet of the art and wonder around the rooms. Also, try and get a seat in the Elk Room, it’s a really cool space with an open fire that the head chef is cooking on. One of the my favourite dining experiences, I wish I lived closer than a 3 hour drive away so I could go again and again.
