Wow, what a place! We came here completely by chance on a random November weekend and it was fantastic. The location is 10 out 10. The sunset with the deer, the treeline, just majestic. Absolutely breathtaking. The pub itself was also really nice, cozy with lots of fireplaces, friendly staff that know how to make a cocktail. Seemed to be frequented by families as well, so if you come with kids, it's probably quite nice. The food was quite good as well. We went for the lamb and the venison. Unfortunately, no one mentioned the specials, but okay, that happens. The chef who recently started working there was also very kind. Overall, we really liked it. Never seen a place like that in England.

We spent two nights staying in a coach house room and dining. The room was charming and was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the guests sitting area in the main building (where the restaurant is located). Access to the grounds was very nice with roaming deer. The dining experience was superb! Breakfast was included and that was perfectly acceptable with a good variety of choice. If up in northern Norfolk we have no hesitation in recommending both the accommodation and dining.

Absolutely fabulous - enough said? I’ll expand…..My big sister brought us here for a treat, and certainly was. Beautiful setting in a deer park, building and decor to match (with ample car parking). Menu so different without being outlandish. Charming servers who really knew their dishes and could advise accordingly. Full marks, will definitely return!

Went for Sunday lunch and was not let down. Service, atmosphere and most importantly food were all top drawer. The Sunday roasts were the best I’ve ever had. If the menu says serves 2/3 it will and easily. Some art is a bit out there for me but didn’t detract. Setting is lovely as well.

Great tasty food. Good friendly service. Especially liked seeing the deer in the distance from the bar window. Some interesting art work about the place. We enjoyed our visit very much. Recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
