Overlooking a pretty, leafy Georgian square in the bustling seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, The Globe Inn is perfectly placed for an adventure on the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
When you bring your four legged friend to our pub we also offer a dog menu, filled with treats.

8 months agoJust back from a two-night stay. Terrific hotel, our room (17) was spacious and clean with lovely decor. We really enjoyed being above the pretty rear patio. We ate in the restaurant one evening which was great, not a huge choice but well done. Breakfast was good too. The staff really made our stay, Jordan (bar), in particular was great company. The French waiter at breakfast was also lovely, very cheery and chatty. Overall an excellent break.

a month agolate here twice during my stay, once alone and then in a family party. I enjoyed both meal experiences. The restaurant is beautifully and slightly quirky decorated with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The tables are not over-crowded. The food is excellent and the menu offers a good range of imaginative food and extensive wine list. Portion size is good enabling consumption of a three course meal without feeling uncomfortable. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food arrived in good time allowing a pause between each course. I never felt rushed. The price is what I expected for food of this quality. I'd go back for the kedgeree scotch egg alone. Opening this to find a runny yoke was a joy and the taste so good.

3 months agoGreat pub/restaurant, lovely decor and atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive. Had a Sunday roast and it was very tasty, even the vegetables had a little something extra in flavour. Best Yorkshire pudding I've had out too. Some cauliflower cheese with the roast beef would have made it perfect, but that's just my personal preference. Would have given 5 star if food was a bit hotter and espresso martini wasn't pre-mixed. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

5 months agoThis is one of our favourite pubs in wells and have always appreciated the good service and food. We Stayed three nights here, the staff as always were attentive and friendly, even when the restaurant gets busy. The service is still good. The food in the restaurant is normally of a good quality although we found this time some dishes had been stripped back a little too much. We also found the bread used at breakfast was not of good quality. Rooms are of good standard and very warm, although there was lack of storage and the wardrobe was broken and we were unable to hang up our clothes. This was reported when we arrived and again during our stay but was never fixed. The Room was cleaned on a daily basis apart from the cups. We also found the Coffee machine very complicated to use. The accessible toilet in the pub was normally blocked by chairs in the corridor leading to it. I am disappointed that our issues was never addressed hence the low score.

in the last weekHad lunch in the bar today. Really friendly staff and very good food. Reasonably priced and a very nice atmosphere. Food arrived quickly and tasted great. Fish and chips very well done. Always a litmus test. Passed with flying colours. Will become a regular haunt.
