Just back from a two-night stay. Terrific hotel, our room (17) was spacious and clean with lovely decor. We really enjoyed being above the pretty rear patio. We ate in the restaurant one evening which was great, not a huge choice but well done. Breakfast was good too. The staff really made our stay, Jordan (bar), in particular was great company. The French waiter at breakfast was also lovely, very cheery and chatty. Overall an excellent break.

Only went to the pub part of the Globe for an evening meal, so can't comment on the hotel. Really nice pub, nice staff, great beer garden with loads of outdoor seating when the sun's out. Interior is great, really nice vibe, looks like a proper old English pub. We had the roast and burger, both were excellent and very tasty! Only downfall is the price, it is an expensive establishment.

Very, very good find on Bank Holiday Sunday. Food was fresh, menu well thought out and tasty, everything was done very well. Staff were incredible, from the Frenchy running the bar to the lady managing the restaurant / reception, to the staff collecting glasses; everyone was calm, professional and welcoming despite being mobbed. Beer was well kept, too. Only popped in for a pint and ending up staying for a lovely lunch. Highly recommended.

This is one of our favourite pubs in wells and have always appreciated the good service and food. We Stayed three nights here, the staff as always were attentive and friendly, even when the restaurant gets busy. The service is still good. The food in the restaurant is normally of a good quality although we found this time some dishes had been stripped back a little too much. We also found the bread used at breakfast was not of good quality. Rooms are of good standard and very warm, although there was lack of storage and the wardrobe was broken and we were unable to hang up our clothes. This was reported when we arrived and again during our stay but was never fixed. The Room was cleaned on a daily basis apart from the cups. We also found the Coffee machine very complicated to use. The accessible toilet in the pub was normally blocked by chairs in the corridor leading to it. I am disappointed that our issues was never addressed hence the low score.

What a beautiful pub. Didn't stay but came for dinner and drinks with friends and honestly had an incredible time. The food was absolutely sublime - I'm a vegetarian and felt very well catered for as opposed to an afterthought as with some pubs! I would also like to mention George who made us feel incredibly welcome while we were there so a huge thank you to him!
