A historic pub nestled in the heart of Norwich market with rooms that overlook our fine city. The historical Garnet pub (formerly known as The Garnet Woolsey) is a warm and welcoming drinking spot for both locals and tourist alike. We serve a huge range of wines, award winning beers, as well as local ales and spirits. Proudly nestled beside our vibrant Norwich Market (over 900 years old!) we welcome you to bring your own food from one of the many wonderful stalls… as well as your dog!

We have dog bowls behind the bar or at the entrance for those thirsty hounds as well as treats for especially good boys. We are proud to have the Garnet Stores & Supplies next door (also dog-friendly) which offers functional homewares, locally sourced gifts and coffee to refuel as you stock up.

As per all listings on Dog Friendly Norfolk, we accept well behaved dogs.

Nice pub with good views, toilets were what you would expect of a pub. Cider wasn’t fab but that’s not particularly the fault of the pub

Very quaint pub, felt at ease and staff friendly. Cleaned constantly and atmosphere was friendly. Small but little nooks of interest was interesting to look at some of the pictures and art work. There seems to be some history about this place certainly felt like it.Will visit again.

A great pub with huge character and good beer selection. It’s a fab spot with lots of nooks and crannies to enjoy, and cosy corners to sit in. My only gripe is the music volume, we had to shout at eachother on the top floor and it became clear why everyone was sitting outside even on a cold night. Turn the volume down ( a lot) and the inside will fill up quickly.
