3 months agoWe intended to stop for a pint on the way home but ended up staying for three. What a gem of a pub. The guy behind the bar was friendly and welcoming. Somehow I hadn't expected the inside to be quite so lovely (my last visit was 20 years ago to see Tony Hall). Lovely beer garden and interesting corners all over the pub, games, book exchange. We'll definately return.

5 months agoFirst time visiting and shall certainly be back; reasonably priced, friendly bar staff knowledgeable about real ale, recently decorated. Table football, TVs and board games all on offer.

9 months agoA very nice selection of drinks. Definitely a more “family friendly” feeling kind of pub, with plenty of nice decorations and a bright and breezy atmosphere. They have tvs and regularly play sports and also allow dogs. They have a great selection of food and snacks and on an afternoon it’s a nice place to sit and relax, they have a Fußball table and comfy cushioned seats. Not a traditional sticky table kind of pub, especially when compared to the Kings Arms which is directly opposite, but it’s nice in its own ways.
