The Drawing Rooms is an art-deco cocktail bar situated in the heart of Norwich. Offering a range of craft cocktails, beers and wines, the venue is brought to you by The Ten Bells and The Wildman. With a history dating back to 1850, this 1930s style split-level pub was converted from an architect’s office.
The bar is dog-friendly in all areas and doesn’t offer reservations, just walk-in at any time!
The bar is open from 11am – 12am daily, running their famous ‘cocktail club’ offering discounts on mix-and-match double gin and mixers and cocktails (all included in their cocktail trees deals also.)
As per all listings on Dog Friendly Norfolk, we accept well behaved dogs.

2 weeks agoMy friend and I decided to try here on a night out as we were looking for somewhere that had a good cocktail list and a 2 4 1 offer. The menu is reasonable in terms of cocktails on offer, plenty of the classics and then some cocktails with a twist. There is also a mock tails list which wasn't extensive but looked good. We squeezed in with just 10 minutes to spare so managed to pay for a second round whilst we had our first two drinks. The pub has had a lovely refurbishment and the deco style is lovely. I would agree with others that the music is a bit loud which does make it hard to just sit and chat. But the selection of 90s/early 00's tunes did also make me smile. The Negroni was absolutely excellent. All the staff were very friendly and service was great.

2 months agoThe renovation of the old Birdcage is excellent. They have paid respect to the art deco building, the once smelly, water logged toilets are gone - they are beautifully decorated. We were fortunate to arrived during a happy hour, we both had spritzers, which were £12 for two, so we stayed and had another two. The team were really fun and friendly. My only reason for removing a star is because it’s beer selection it was very mainstream, great Green King don’t make good beer.

a month agoLovely cocktail bar! I had a version of a piña colada that I didn't love, but that's personal preference, nothing about the cocktail making itself. Going to the drawing rooms is always a good experience, lovely music, 3 different rooms and a very interesting design. The staff are always lovely and will recommend great cocktails for you if you ask.

a month agoA great, knowledgeable bar team with superb, friendly and professional service. The venue is beautiful, perfect place for quiet drinks in the afternoon and has a lively atmosphere in the evening. A good selection of beers, soft drinks and cocktails as well!

3 months agoBirdcage used to be a really good pub for young people in the city before it closed. The drawing rooms is another cocktail bar with loud music meant for punters on their way to prince of wales rd. Decor at the bar looks like a strip club and in general is just too...extra. They do surprisingly have a good selection on tap (for a cocktail bar)
