The Crown Inn – Pulham Market

An excellent pub where friendly, helpful staff serve first class food. Unlike many pubs serving food of this quality, the portions are a good size, too. Check availability, they don't serve food every day. There was a limited x choice of real ale but the one I tried was in perfect condition.

I had soup starter and pie main and my friend Fish and Chips. all for £48, with drinks. Well worth it. The present cooks are really good here, offering a manageable menu and serving it well presented. The parsnip soup was excellent and the beef and ale pie was full of beef in a light pastry served on the top of fresh vegetables. The server was fast, attentive and fun which made the dinning experience a rare pleasure. This is the second visit and the standard has been the same so we shall be going again

We went for a 60th birthday lunch. There were 4 of us, so they were able to accommodate us without a booking. The food was warm and tasty and good sized portions, even the items from the light lunch menu. There was a nice open fire and the pub was nice and cosy.

Probably one of the worst lunches the only saving grace was the beef. The roast potatoes were cooked earlier in the day if not yesterday the broccoli was inedible he forgot to cook it plates cold and for the money it’s a NO especially as you are supposed to be the new chef didn’t help the dog begging at the table
