A quintessential village pub and restaurant nestled in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. We overlook an expansive village green in beautiful Aldborough.
A true destination pub, we love our doggy visitors and want them to be as welcomed as their hoomans, treats are dispensed at will and water bowls are always on hand.
The only real doggy restriction is in our upstairs dinning room, however at tables downstairs, outside and in the bar area feel free to bring your dog to The Cricketers. If you’re booking for lunch or dinner please mention you’re bringing your dog and we’ll try and sort an ideal table.
Opening hours
Bar – Monday – Sunday 12noon to 11pm
Lunch – Wednesday – Saturday 12noon to 2.30pm
Dinner – Wednesday – Saturday 6pm to 8.30pm
Sunday lunch – 12noon to 3.30pm
As per all listings on Dog Friendly Norfolk, we accept well behaved dogs.

2 months agoLovely pub great choice of beer. Edit: lovely meal tonight, Lobster Risotto was fabulous. As we're the lemon cheesecake and rum and raisin ice cream. Free spirit at the end of the meal was a nice bonus, pity the cricketers last night drank all the good whisky and I had to put up with Famous Grouse! Still enjoyed it

8 months agoFantastic pub! Cannot rate it highly enough, the staff were friendly, helpful and all round brilliant. The food was amazing and came in very generous portions! Eould easily recommend a visit, we will be going back without a doubt.

a month agoWe have been coming to the Cricketers on the green for over a year now and we have to say that it is one of the most welcoming and beautiful pubs we have experienced, and we have experienced a lot of pubs in our time!!!! Julie , Kent and all the staff are so friendly and a real good laugh at all times! The food is out of this world! Always recommended to all . Xx

2 months agoThis was our first visit and we loved it. The food was excellent and beautifully plated. Never thought I would say this myself but the salad was awesome that came with my meal. A nice choice on menu. Staff and everyone friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

3 months agoHad an amazing meal here last night. Hubby had the hand pulled spring lamb starter, which was delicious. Could have eaten a double portion of that with some hand cut chips! Everything else was tip top too. Service, atmosphere and quality at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back when next in the area. Thanks. 👍
