A quintessential village pub and restaurant nestled in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. We overlook an expansive village green in beautiful Aldborough.
A true destination pub, we love our doggy visitors and want them to be as welcomed as their hoomans, treats are dispensed at will and water bowls are always on hand.
The only real doggy restriction is in our upstairs dinning room, however at tables downstairs, outside and in the bar area feel free to bring your dog to The Cricketers. If you’re booking for lunch or dinner please mention you’re bringing your dog and we’ll try and sort an ideal table.
Opening hours
Bar – Monday – Sunday 12noon to 11pm
Lunch – Wednesday – Saturday 12noon to 2.30pm
Dinner – Wednesday – Saturday 6pm to 8.30pm
Sunday lunch – 12noon to 3.30pm
As per all listings on Dog Friendly Norfolk, we accept well behaved dogs.

3 months agoOutstanding food with a seasonal menu which changes each month. We had baked feta with honey and sesame to start which was absolutely divine! (Should come with a spoon to drink the honey at the end ;-) ). Then filet steak with homemade potato chips served with wild mushrooms, roasted vine tomatoes and the most delicious peppercorn sauce for main. (The photo really doesn't do it justice). Topped off with a delicious creme brulee for dessert. And alongside all that, the most friendly and welcoming staff which really made our evening. Can't wait to go back again next time!

11 months agoWe had such a lovely meal with our Yorkie in this fabulous village pub. Food quality was fantastic, the staff attentive and the vibe awesome. If we are in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

3 weeks agoLovely place great atmosphere service excellent food poor Although this was reflected in the price which was reasonable Meat was catering pack slices and you could not tell if you were eating beef or lamb Yorkshire cold, nut loaf awful veg was good although roast potatoes were horrible.. would not visit again for a Sunday roast Reply to owner...yes it is the right pub that I left my comments for....and a further comment was that the meat offered was lamb and beef which both tasted the same..I work in hospitality and I know what catering packs of meat looks and taste like...do not insult the intelligence of your diners.....leave feedback cards for diners to complete if you want honest comments ..
