NOTE: This venue has been added to give you more variety and choice for your dog friendly visits but we have no official description or in-depth features for how dog friendly the venue is.
Be aware this venue was recently known as being dog friendly but this status may have also changed in the time since publication.
We are a real ale brewing pub which loves to welcome dogs of all sizes, indoors and out.
We have copious dog treats available if you ask one of the bar staff we will be more than happy to feed and fuss your pup, and if you’re lucky there may even be some scraps from the kitchen too.
The pub serves a wide range of real ales brewed on site, alongside popular lagers and ciders complimented with proper pub food that caters for most dietary requirements. Bring your dogs down and they may even make it onto our pub’s Instagram.
When you bring your four legged friend to our pub we also offer a dog menu, filled with treats.

2 months agoA lovely spot to chill out on a sunny day or inside the nice traditional boozer inside on a rainy or cold day. They have a nice selection of drinks. The staff are very friendly, the outside area is very cool with large shades that can be drawn. The building itself almost looks like it would fit in New Orleans. We tried the beef taco's (soft shell) and the Burger dirty fries both were delicious. A great pub, not far from the train station.

2 months agoWe always seem to end up here for the railway meet ups, either leaving dos or retirements. C&H are always very accommodating of us and we always have a really good time. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the pub has a really good vibe.

2 years agoGreat little traditional pub with their own real ale brewery and a good selection of other ales and beers to boot. The food menu looks good although I have not tried it. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Only 5mins walk from Norwich railway station . They seem to have a regular darts team. Real wood fired pizzas at special times

a year agoCame in for a lunch time treat and a few of us had the breakfast. The bacon was excellently cooked and the beans were nice and thick with the addition of garlic. The young lady who I went with has a lot of experience with foot long sausages and thought the it was a little dry. Although the girth, length and shape was pretty decent. I thought the bacon jam was a unwelcome addition, would have been nice if it was warm. The black pudding was very tasty but probably needed to be a little crispier. The sourdough bread was what I would say “crispy”, if you did not have teeth it would be extremely difficult to eat. Luckily I do so was ok. It was a nice breakfast though Others had the chicken sarnie which they thought was 8/10 with the nice homemade chips

3 weeks agoThree friends and I needed a venue to stay overnight for the Norwich 100 bike ride. The Coach and Horses was great value and the hosts even opened the breakfast service 15 mins early for us so we could eat before the ride. The Eggs Benedict was superb! It was a bit noisy overnight because of a party in the pub, but in balance I guess you can expect such things if staying at a Public House. Just be warned it is on top of a big hill… we noticed it even more cycling back to our cars after 102 miles in the saddle!
