a week agoIt's almost 30 years since I first went to the Bucks and have been there on and off several times since, including staying in the rooms. But this time it was for lunch, eaten in the lovely garden, with extremely good and friendly service. The building is delightful, and adjacent Blickling Hall (including bookshop and RAF museum) make for a great day out.

a month agoLovely location with a great garden to eat in. We visited once for lunch as a group and once as a couple. Both times service friendly and efficient. Great menu with a good variety for all (3 vegetarians in the group) and food came out very quick however of good quality. Well done a lot of pubs could take this as an example! Serve good quality food but without much delay ! Well done.

a month agoOutstanding. We weren't sure whether to stop here or the National Trust café for lunch, but after having a curried cauliflower pasty for the 3rd in a month at other national trust sites, we opted to pop into this pub. We are very glad we did, good vegetarian options with loads of flavour and thought. The service was excellent - it was a busy, hot day in the summer hols, we were offered a table straight away, then offered menus, then our drinks order was taken within a couple of mins, then the food order when they came back. Food was quick to arrive too, which is always appreciated when you have a busy day. The staff were lovely - all happy, kind and caring. The food was really tasty, see photos, and of good quality. We sat in the garden as was a lovely day and had our dogs with us. Mains were around £16 each, which is absolutely bang on for the quality and not overpriced, which we thought might be the case as it's in National Trust territory. Well done all involved, we had a lovely stop here for lunch.

3 months agoFirst time visit for me and my girlfriend, absolutely lovely pub in an incredibly quiet, peaceful and picturesque location. The warm summers evening just added to the whole experience. The food was fantastic, and so was the friendly, approachable service by the staff, who couldn't have done anymore for us, including bringing out blankets to the outdoor area for us and other customers when it started to get a bit cold! Will definitely be back.
