We serve a wide selection of wines, spirits, cask ales (Cask Marque accredited) and lagers. Our restaurant offers locally sourced home cooked food with an ever changing menu although the favourites will always remain! We have great links with some amazing local suppliers and businesses and aim to always bring you the freshest ingredients of the best quality in all our dishes. We have just be awarded our first AA rosette for culinary excellence as well as being a finalist for the East of England Pub of the Year.
At the Angel we have many different menus available for many different occasions.
From that special occasion to the traditional Sunday Lunch we believe we have something for everyone.
As all of our dishes are prepared using only the freshest ingredients, our menus must be representative of the ingredients available therefore our menus change fairly regularly but to give you an idea here are some sample menus showing the kind of dishes that we offer and the associated prices.
We have a Big Green Egg in the kitchen which brings a whole new dynamic to the menu from the aspect of cooking on coals.

The outside of the pub doest do this place justice, when you go in it is lovely and quant with really nice helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we missed lunch which stops serving at 2pm but hopefully will get back later this week. Perhaps a few hanging baskets and plants would look more inviting when driving past. We returned on our homeward journey for lunch. The staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing. I had lobster, salmon and prawns with new potatoes and salad, cooked to perfection. My friend had oysters to start and crab for main course. The desserts were also beautiful. Would strongly recommend.

Dropped in on the off chance for lunch. Unfortunately we were too late. Stayed for a drink. Pub was very nice and the menu looked good. Will definitely be back to try the food.

Very dissapointing. We were really looking forward to eating here last night after all the good things we had heard. We had booked for 7.30pm, we ordered our drinks and were taken to our table. Our food order was taken about 15 minutes later. The first course arrived a very long hour later at 8.30pm. A jug of water took 45 minutes to arrive after having to ask a second time and I had to clean the glasses as they were all smeared. The beer glass was cracked and cut my partner's face, the waitress confirmed they had found a crack in the glass after we reported it. It was 30 minutes after finishing our starter that our steaks arrived, one of which was cold and was sent back. The replacement steak was at least hot but burnt on the outside, my partner however had almost finished his by this time. We decided against dessert due to our dissapointing experience. The only thing we enjoyed were our starters the Rissotto and the Black Pudding both were good. After our very dissapointing experience we will not be recommending The Angel.
