At the Angel we have many different menus available for many different occasions.

2 months agoWe visited this restaurant on a Friday night, hoping for a memorable meal, but left thoroughly disappointed. The Lobster Thermidor was, without exaggeration, the worst we’ve ever had – it tasted overwhelmingly of mustard and nothing else. Service was poor too - our server kept complaining she was the only one working, which, on a busy Friday night, is simply unacceptable. When asked about our meal, we shared our concerns about the lobster. The server checked with the chef, who did apologize, but his response felt like an excuse – he explained how many spoons of mustard he used, as if that justified ruining a classic dish. As a gesture, they removed one of the children’s meals from the bill, but not a single one of the three ruined lobster dishes. This felt like a token gesture rather than a genuine attempt to make things right. To be fair, the steak we ordered was actually quite good, but, unfortunately, there was only one left. For a restaurant of this supposed calibre, running out of staple menu items is another letdown. Finally, it's massively overpriced for what it is.

2 years agoAs the saying goes, "Expect the unexpected!" Well, we were totally blown away by the quality of food on offer here. The surroundings dont do the place justice. Staff were friendly, but service was difficult to judge as we were the only table. The food was really well presented and delicious. It's probably the best steak I've had in a while. We'll be back!

2 months agoThis place used to be good but has gone down hill service was really slow waited 90 mins for seafood platter. It expensive too. Had a couple of Sunday lunches vegetables hardly cooked. This place used to be busy but now empty over priced and food is hit and miss. It’s a real shame.

2 years agoWe came for Mother's Day and were so impressed. Can't believe we've never visited before. The food was 10/10. Very tasty, and good portion size. However the service is what really made it, every single member of staff was happy, polite and attentive. We will definitely be back!
