a month agoTook my Fiancé to the Kings Inn for a meal, the service was excellent from our server Alexandra, who was friendly and kind, we found the atmosphere in the dining room was quiet and cosy. The food looks a bit pricey on the Menu but you certainly get value for money in quality as well as quantity. I had a Steak share platter, all the food was delicious, not too long to wait for and I highly recommend. 100% coming back next time I get paid for a meal and will bring friends with me.

a month agoSadly I have to give this pub a negative review. I will start positive, the staff were very friendly. The room though was another thing, very dusty all around the edges of the carpet and in the bathroom; the rain shower head was broken, water sprayed all around the bathroom; the sink was cracked and the sink tap just spurted water out. The restaurant; the quality of the food was very good and well cooked unfortunatley there wasn't a choice of cuts of steak, they only had two fillets and flat iron (because they were busy the day before) not what you would expect from a steak house. Lovely old building but I will not be returning.

3 weeks agoLovely and friendly staff, but the rest of the experience was absolutely diabolical. The first time we turned up we waited three hours for food, only to be told they’d forgotten about it. 2 weeks later we came back for a complimentary meal, and it was not what we ordered. We waited 90 minutes for rib eye steaks, and received what I can only described as overcooked road kill scraped off the acle straight. Would not recommend due to the incompetence of the kitchen staff.

4 months agoIt was ok. Food was nice but nit anything to say exceptional. Fairly quiet so no need for booking. Take a while for food to arrive. We joked if the were catching the fish or heading the cattle. Price a little above average. Plenty of parking. Nice decor. Just not what was expected overall.

4 months agoWell located pub with a spacious beer garden, dog friendly, big food menu. BUT…. Can’t get over how virtually nothing was available on draft! Having scanned through some other reviews this seems a common occurrence. I only wanted a quick pint, ended up buying to bottles of Peroni and grabbing a pint glass to make my own. This cost £11 so won’t be rushing back and doing that again! Disappointing.
