a month agoVery pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We went for a meal here spontaneously and we will deffo be going back. The food was good portion size and also very tasty. There were a few dishes that were not available but this was made clear as soon as we were seated…the service was very attentive. The people who had the steak in our group said it was excellent and cooked perfectly.

3 weeks agoI was extremely surprised at the quality of the room. It was clean cosy and comfy. The bath was massive and showed powerful (although the I couldn’t get the “rain fall” attachment to work). The bed was a Queen size or a speaking size and very comfortable. The gratis room refreshments were to standard and very vice. The staff were friendly, especially Sammy who took our booking over the phone. I wasn’t lucky enough to to eat a steak there as I went downstairs too late (8:45pm) and they stop serving food at 8:30, my mistake. Breakfast was a bit delayed due to staffing problems (Natalia handled this well) but the full English breakfast was very well cooked and tasted lovely thanks to the guy that arrived on a Sunday morning at short notice and it wasn’t his shift.

a month agoSunday Lunch. Served by Darcy. 5 star service shocked it was her first day. Polite, confident, excellent attention to detail and double checked our orders. We done Darcy. Hope we will see you again! Entrance door could do with a repaint over the flaking paintwork and the outside seating area needs similar attention. Looks a bit scruffy at the moment.

a month agoStayed 3 nights. Dinner on 3rd night. Waited over 1 hr for a very very chewy 12oz flat iron steak. Very disappointed. 2 ladies chatting did not check if all ok. For hotel no heating rooms freezing and yes did try radiators!!!

2 months agoGot there on time and was then seated. 15 minutes later asked what we wanted to drink promptly given our drink. Then waited 45 minutes for our food to come to our table. Was it worth the wait don't think so neither was the steak worth the price charged very chewy wouldn't have again
