in the last weekWent in late and we just managed to get served with good which was delicious went back following night food again delicious good ale went for breakfast next day as we were leaving for home. Breakfast was bad poached eggs for m we too much vinegar toast shot off plate when trying to cut it was disgusting . The staff were not good they kept opening doors for people to go out which was blowing a breeze so the rest of our partys food was cold . All in all evening service with the lads was great morning service and chef needs to be looked at I think. Will go again but not breakfast

a week agoFinally! This place has had so many iterations over the years but the current owners HAVE GOT IT RIGHT! Excellent food & a great selection of drinks (Aspall is now in the village - woo hoo!). My mother-in-law stayed here and her stay was really comfortable with an excellent breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2 months agoCalled in for a drink and was made most welcome by Chris the manager so we booked a meal for the Wednesday evening, very friendly waitress, service excellent and the food was well presented. Well worth a visit in this lovely village, will certainly be visiting again next time I come over.
