in the last weekTravelling back to our holiday chalet in Mundesley, me, my wife and two kids decided to try North Walsham as a place to get dinner. We stumbled across Shambles Bar Bistro and I’m so glad we did. My daughter chose sausage and chips from the kids menu; my son, wife and myself chose 5 dishes from the sharing platter which was superb and highly recommended. A lovely family atmosphere, reasonable pricing and good service all resulted in a great experience.

3 months agoWe take my sisters dog to be groomed at the groomers next door and the shambles is our go to place for a coffee and some brunch/lunch while we wait for him. The service is great and the staff are super friendly. The food is always excellent. The toilet is always very very clean. When the dog is ready we bring him in and he is always made very welcome in this dog friendly establishment. This is one of those places that excels at what they do and where you will never be disappointed that you walked in the door. Very highly recommend it.

a month agoWe picked this place out as they had some interesting sharing platters on the menu. Turns out they had a greek menu on the day, so we tried the veggie version plus a Thai pork dish. The food was delicious, probably ordered too much so no space for dessert

2 weeks agoWow! 4 adults. Can't praise the food highly enough, so tasty, large portions, so many vegetables which were fresh not frozen! Meals were complete, not a pick and mix so we didn't expect them to be so high end. Delicious. We liked the place so much we returned again within three days. Both occasions were made all the better by wonderful staff, three chatty, welcoming and personable young people who were just charming and really made the place. Our dog was made welcome with a pat and treats, our disabled guest was accommodated and helped. Don't delay and book this quaint charming restaurant.

2 weeks agoAn absolute gem. Much bigger than you would believe. One of the nicest places I have ever been to. Beautiful outdoor seating and the front and back. Gorgeous decor. Incredible staff. Fabulous fresh flowers..A really diverse food and drink menu and reasonably priced. All we had looked and tasted divine too. So welcoming and friendly. A real pleasure.
