We love well behaved dogs at Shambles and they are allowed in all the rooms. We have outside seating on the front pavement and a spacious contained courtyard that is dog friendly. We supply free dog treats and a water bowl.
- We serve a wide selection of food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets. Our food is Modern Mediterranean, Tapas and English cuisine.
- We serve freshly ground coffee, loose leaf speciality teas and a selection of cakes and pastries all day. We have a well stocked bar selling draught real ales, premium lagers and ciders as well as an extensive wine list. We serve cocktails all day.
- We have an upstairs cocktail lounge (dog friendly) open on Friday and Saturday evenings with a happy hour ,2 for £10 cocktails between 6-7pm.
- We have wheelchair access to the ground floor and a disabled loo that has been described by an instagram site promoting disabled access as the most stylish and well designed loo they have encountered.
- We are close to a large carpark on vicarage street North Walsham and a 5 minute walk from North Walsham Station.
- We have a number of lovely walks that are popular with dog owners that pass through North Walsham including the Weavers Way and North Walsham and Dilham canal.
- We provide wireless internet and phone charging USB points for all our customers
- We have a simple online booking service and you can also book over the phone.
- We host events from weddings to big birthday, hen nights and business lunches and meetings.

2 weeks agoWithout a doubt, Shambles is the best café/ eatery in North Walsham. This café serves up decent cups of coffee, and has a lot of food items available. There are even options for those with dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free). The service was also friendly. The interior is very laidback. While I like the front room and garden area, I found the bit near the kitchen/ ordering till lacked a bit of character. In general, I think the fact it's a café-bar-eatery all in one makes it a bit difficult to nail the charm of each one of those individually. In summary, the top spot to check out in the area!

3 months agoWe loved our Sunday roasts of guineafowl, pork and prawns. The roasts are superb with all the trimmings. The crevettes are large, meaty and juicy. Friendly service too! Service charge is automatically added, but you could adjust.

7 months agoLovely establishment, fabulous service. We had a platter for 2, and a lovely bottle of wine, which was more than enough for 2 people. The baked feta was my favourite (although everything was perfect). The food is locally sourced and of high quality, which you can tell. I've heard great things about shambles, but this was my first visit. It certainly will not be my last.

10 months agoSuper fun cafe that also serves food at night as well as alcoholic drinks. Looks like a lovely spot for breakfast/ cake and a coffee too but we visited in the evening. We booked ahead in case but small tables could easily just turn up. Tapas board is a MUST. So good! Also dog friendly which was a huge bonus

a year agoExcellent place for coffee and cake. Good choice of food and the staff all friendly and helpful. Shambles is dog friendly as well so a definite plus for us. Very good hot chocolate. Would call in again if we're ever visiting North Walsham.
