We had a really nice time here - it's a good location for exploring the local area either on foot (lots of nice walks nearby), by car, or on the useful bus that connects the towns along the coast. The staff were really friendly and even left little Easter eggs in the room, which was a nice touch. The room was spotless, bed comfy, and hotel quiet, so although the communal area might need a little bit of a spruce up, we'd definitely stay again. The breakfast was large and tasty.

Stayed in room 25 with my partner, the room is small with a shower and toilet within the bedroom. During night and day there is no ventilation in the room even with the window open so it’s an uncomfortable sleep and no fan is provided, the toilet has a sliding door and it’s not properly insulated so you can hear and smell everytime the toilet is used which is really not pleasant, my partner had to run the tap every time he went to the toilet so I couldn’t hear. The room wasn’t properly cleaned when I had dropped my phone by the side of the bed there was a previous guests lipgloss on the floor under the dressing table, used earbuds by the bottom of the bed and general dirt where the bed and bedside tables hadn’t been rolled to the side and hoovered(this was found during the night when the reception was closed so unable to raise when found this out). The guesthouse is good for a base to stay if your out and about during the day but not if your looking for comfortable and clean. A perk is free parking on premises which you need to get early to otherwise it fills up quick and it is right in front of the seafront (but no sea view). When we booked the booking said breakfast included and listed the amenities however when we got to the hotel we were told we got the savers rate which does not include breakfast and breakfast is an extra £13 PP per day, so beware when booking as it’s not clear on your booking confirmation if you have a savers rate. One other point to raise was works being done right outside the window I think for the garden or brick work at 10am with what sounded to be a lawn mower and hearing staff right outside the window which woke us up, if work needs to be done I would suggest after midday when guests have gone out for the day not first thing in the morning.

Excellent room which was spotlessly clean. Huge enjoyable breakfast. Staff were very polite and catered to all our needs. Could not fault this establishment.

Loved our short but amazing stay here. Room was very spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was great but the friendliness of the staff is the biggest reason why we'd definately like to stay again. This place is just over the road from the sea. Although we did not take a dog, this is a dog friendly hotel which is amazing for such a great location. I would highly recommend.
