5 months agoThe food was excellent. Really friendly staff who served us. I had the Ham Hock Terrine to start, which was filling in itself. Then the Pan Fried Chicken Supreme. It was amazing. It came with a mushroom sauce, and I am not a fan of mushrooms at all, but took a chance and so pleased I did. So sooo delicious. All on the 48.5 menu meaning all ingredients are from within 48.5 miles of the pub, which was a really nice bonus for such lovely food. Finished with a chocolate dessert with a honeycomb which I managed to launch across the room. The waitress noticed and made a joke which just added to the enjoyment of the evening. Will definitely visit again

4 months agoWe booked late for a Friday evening but they managed to arrange a set of tables for us at short notice. They also offered us outdoor dining but in the middle of November we went for the inside option 😀 A good selection of beers and lagers and a varied menu. Staff very helpful and attentive even amongst the busyness of the place on a Friday night. Prices on the higher side but would certainly recommend.

4 months agoHad dinner here, food was outstanding. Ordered the double patty burger - flavours were exquisite. They're usually pretty booked up so remember to call and reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended spot for food!

4 months agoWe met friends here for Sunday dinner. The menu choice was perfect including a choice of roasts, vegetarian option, and the fish batter was also gluten-free. All was perfectly cooked, and the deserts we're devine. Really friendly and helpful staff too.
