6 months agoWe visited this cottage from the 15th-18th April 2024. We were greeted by an infestation of cluster flies in the main bedroom and ensuite downstairs and an awful sewage smell throughout the house. We were staying with our 2 young daughters (3 and 5) as well as my parents. It didn't feel safe or hygienic to stay, so we contacted Gail, at Pack Holidays, who apologised and provided us with a refund. We'd arrived at the cottage at 5pm on the 15th April and unfortunately couldn't find another location nearby suitable for all of us to stay, so we had no other choice but to stay, or return home with 2 very disappointed children. We let Gail know that we'd need to stay, and she sent a handy man around the next day. He confirmed they were cluster flies, and that there was a dreadful sewage smell throughout, but couldn't get rid of either. We tried to stay out of the cottage as much as possible during the day times and only went back to sleep and sealed up our doors with towels and tape to stop any flies getting through. It was a horrible experience, and we were forced to pay £800 for a 3 night stay in a fly infested sewage smelling cottage. The owner, Chris, sent my Husband some very direct and abrupt text messages and clearly had not understood the state of the property, or the situation we were left in. Terrible customer service from the owners. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

a year agoStayed here for a surprise 50th birthday gathering with a group of friends. This easily accommodated 8 adults and 7 dogs. All of which got on great. Everything you need is here for a great break away or a Christmas getaway. The beach is only 10 minutes walk and very dog friendly. The early mornings on the beach are amazing with a reasonable pub overlooking the sea. Wi-Fi is good. Log fire (although it was peak heat September so we didn’t need to light it). We all had an amazing time and really looking forward to going back. I had a big chocolate cake made locally and supplied by the owner. Yummy. It could perhaps do with a hot tub or outdoor fire pit for those evenings sat outside drinking. But what a great way to spend the weekend wearing out the dogs. Fantastic.

2 years agoAmazing stay at Eden Hall, only regret is not staying longer! We were 3 families with 5 little children between us, and we had a blast! The house was beautiful, just like the photos on the website, and equipped with everything we might need, and of the highest quality! Incredibly thoughtful owners, supported by a great team that looks after the house, to keep it in an impeccable state. A huge sandy beach was a short walk away (take the road, if pushing a pram), and we were amazed to find only a handful of others around, at no point was it busy during a perfect w weather weekend in mid-July! The garden is worth a mention, as it is was much enjoyed by the little ones and their grown ups, and the bbq was a highlight ;) Cannot wait to go back, highly recommended!

2 years agoAmazing house to host 2 to 3 families. The house is decorated very nicely and the kids loved the space in the garden. The nearby beach is amazing and there is also a little playground around the corner. We would love to come back.
