6 months agoDeffo best place I have been in a long time. Came with smelly wet dog who was welcomed with love. Food was amazing and really fast (Sunday lunch). Staff couldn't have been nicer 😀 10/10

2 weeks agoBitterly disappointed! Booked for a party of 10 well in advance because of the excellent reviews , but the roast dinner was probably the worst I have ever had anywhere. Waited an hour, the dinner was just about warm , vegetables just about cooked. Would I recommend it to anyone… no, would I go there again …. no, sorry, spoilt what was supposed to be a celebration ! 🥲

a month agoFantastic pub. We rang up on the day to see if they could fit in a table of 6 adults, one child and two dogs and they could. Most of us went for the roast which did not disappoint. Service was excellent and we felt very welcomed. Will definitely return when we're next in the area.

3 months agoGenuinely excellent. Stopped by the Blue Bell for lunch on our way to Kings Lynn. The beer garden is gorgeous in the sun, the inside is decorated well with a cozy feel. The service is impeccable and friendly, we were served by two volunteer barmaids who were smiling and joking, providing a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Food was quick, and superb, the chips being a shining star of the meal myself and my partner had. Wished we lived closer to visit again, would happily be regulars.

9 months agoWe were cycling by, as we have done previously, and noticed the "OPEN" sign in the window was lit up. So, I suggested to my wife that we could stop for a late breakfast as we were cycling home to make our own. We were pleasantly surprised as we were able to park our bikes around the back in clear view of our table, of which there are many. We had the full English breakfast which, at the time of review, was £10:50 including a tea or coffee and a slice of either brown or white toast. Although there is a menu on here I couldn't see a breakfast menu so have posted a photo which is current as of 29th September 2023. The website could do with a revamp as, again, there isn't a breakfast menu that I could see, and on the website there is mention of being open Wednesday to Friday but the menu we had is called Friday Breakfast Club. The food was excellent, and having breakfasted in many places around Norfolk, I can assure you that the quality and quantity was amongst the best and on a par with many top established places to eat. It was very quiet, though, we were the only visitors there and a second couple entered while we were waiting. The place is spacious and airy with a very good disabled access door at the rear and dog friendly. One criticism I do have is the volunteer staff on duty couldn't help me connect to the free WiFi, which, this day and age, is a must have! Most establishments display a WiFi password on a chalkboard or something similar, perhaps this could be established to enable customers to connect without the need to ask staff. I like to post reviews on occasion and would have done so at the time. All in all, it is a very quaint little place in a quiet village setting with plenty of parking on the premises or nearby. We aim to go back again for breakfast and, perhaps, Sunday roast too.
