Beach Rock Bistro – Sea Palling

Excellent food, lovely staff. Lauren was our server and checked that we were happy with our meal . She also made us the best Sundaes we've ever had. Absolutely delicious. Couldn't falt the food or the service. We shall be back.

Based on the other Reviews we were excited to eat here as a family. Just wanted to say we could not fault the food, it was absolutely delicious, best fish and chips we had in such a long time. What let it down was the staff, totally understand it’s the high season and they are busy, however every single staff member wore that on their faces, they looked angry, stressed, and they were short and snappy, really unwelcoming. We all felt as though we were a big inconvenience and shouldn’t be there. We over heard them saying they should be shutting the doors, it was 4pm and they close at 5pm. Our order was wrong, brought the wrong type of coffee, an iced coffee instead of a latte. There were only 6 other people in the shop at this point. I run a business myself, and Being busy can be stressful but it brings the money in, to me, busy is a good thing, I can only assume the staff do not own the business? If you can’t handle the service industry at the busy times then something more relaxed should perhaps be a line of work. It’s a shame that for our experience we were left feeling not wanted and Uncomfortable. It seems many other people have had a great experience. Absolutely great fish, shame we didn’t have the other sea food options available on the menu. And before I’m told I should have raised a complaint by the owner as a response, I really shouldn’t have to ask staff not to be rude and unwelcoming, service comes as standard, Friendly and welcoming. Based on the service I think we would give the place a miss next time.

We booked this wonderful restaurant for our ten year wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! We had all our family and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made it extra special for us, decorated it beautifully and the food was amazing. We had a fish platter which was exceptional and everyone had different dishes. The fish and chips were excellent. The children had milkshakes in all different flavours and loved it. Thank you again to Lauren and her wonderful team!

I visited this mom & pop shop during a weekend trip to the beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I ordered the fish & chips, then I came back the next day for their crab/lobster. The food was delicious & would definitely recommend. I look forward to coming back.

We opted for the bistro as we didn't fancy the chippy part and were very impressed. My wife had the crab pot, which uses locally sourced crab and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was beautifully presented. I had the gluten free fish and chips and I have to say it's the best I've had for a long time. They were really good as advised I couldn't have the tartar sauce but checked and bought me a ketchup and mayonnaise. Not having the tartar did not spoil anything, it was delicious. The staff were all really nice and helpful. Highly recommend
