a month agoVisited The Acle Bridge Inn today for a spot of lunch. Haven't been here in a while but that will change after today's experience. Plenty of parking and recieved a friendly welcome before being taken to our table. Staff are on the ball and work together very well. Menu is fantastic with lots of options including those with special dietary requirements. I went for the Steak & Ale pie 🥧 which was a belter. Served with triple cooked chips fresh vedge and a delicious pot of gravy , even had a heart on the pie ( cooked with love) Flavours were fantastic , pastry crisp and plenty of meat in there to fill you to the brim. Overall : superb location , friendly attentive staff , great food , great prices highly reccomend for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

3 months agoI had tried to visit this pub many moons ago when I was last in Norfolk but didn't book a table. Although I hadn't learnt my lesson about booking a table in advance, we were able to secure one of the last free tables by turning up at 5pm on a Thursday, so do book ahead! We could really see why this place is full as it clearly takes pride in the homemade food on offer. The lasagne was really flavoursome and the cottage pie had a real depth to it. The only problem was that we were too stuffed for pudding! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and service was prompt and efficient, so we didn't need to wait particularly long for our food order (possibly too because we were in advance of the main dinner service). There was plenty of free parking available outside and the stunning location next to the waterway is just an added bonus.

4 months agoWe moored here on our way to Yarmouth. The pub was super friendly and offered plenty of choice. The burger was one of the best we have had on our journey. The thing that stuck with me though was the super lovely service. The freezer on our boat wouldn’t accommodate an ice tray so I asked if they had a take away container which I could have with some ice. The kitchen got involved and they gave me a large tub full of ice! It wasn’t wasted and we subsequently used it as a food bin onboard so win-win. We shall definitely be stopping here for a meal when we are back next year!
