Whistle Stop Cottage Norfolk

The Green, Aldborough NR11 7AA

Sleeps: 6
Dogs: 2

Whistle Stop is a characterful cottage built in 1886 which sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There is a good village pub which serves food and a shop with post office as well as a children’s play area on the far side of the green, making the property perfect for a couples or family holiday. There is off-road parking for one car on the front drive, and further parking for two more cars on the back drive. Outside there is a south facing garden with table and chairs and a small decking area, again with chairs so you can follow the sun around the garden. There is a lovely summer house with electricity which offers another place to relax on a nice day.

Cyclists will be able to store their bicycles in a lockable shed. Please note there is a pond which, although isn’t deep and is very small, it is advised to keep children supervised.

Whistle Stop is well placed for exploring Norfolk, the popular resort of Cromer is just 8 miles away. Local National Trust properties to visit include Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park and the lovely Georgian town of Holt with its numerous independent shops, great food hall, cafe culture, antique shops and art galleries is a spot not to miss. Sandy picturesque beaches are easily accessible all along the coast, with resident seals at Blakeney Point. You can hire a boat for the day and explore the vast waterways of the famous Broads or visit the beautiful city of Norwich with it’s Cathedral, shops, and historic buildings just 40 minutes away.
